Château de la Basmaignée

In Montenay, in the north of the Mayenne department, the Château de la Basmaignée stands in all its medieval splendour on the edge of its own ancient forest, home to deer and wild boar. Exclusive hire gives access to the grounds, the lake, the woodland paths, an enclosed garden and a chapel, providing a romantic setting for a wedding for up to a hundred guests. Receptions are held in two rooms totalling approximately 270 m², including a ballroom and a conservatory, with no compulsory caterer. On-site accommodation comprises a four-bedroom guest house, sleeping fifteen, as well as a bridal suite, allowing the celebrations to continue into the night. The estate also hosts seminars, receptions and dance evenings.
