Château de la Motte-Husson

Tucked away in Martigné-sur-Mayenne, south of the town of Mayenne, this Neo-Renaissance château, surrounded by a moat, is set within a dozen hectares of wooded grounds. Made famous by the British TV programme *Escape to the Château*, it has been restored and is run by its owners, who personally welcome couples for bespoke celebrations. The estate comprises an enclosed garden, numerous outbuildings and an Art Deco-style orangery. For weddings, the orangery provides a stunning setting for the dinner and can accommodate up to around 150 guests, whether for a sit-down meal or a cocktail reception. The grounds, the chapel and the avenues offer a variety of backdrops for the ceremony and photographs. Receptions are organised directly with the hosts, in a vintage, family-friendly atmosphere, with a high degree of personalisation. As dates are in high demand, availability is limited and must be booked well in advance.
